Our commitment
Caring Family Homecare wants every family to be able to learn about paid family caregiving, including people who use assistive technology. We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we’ve done
This website is designed and tested with accessibility in mind. It includes:
- Clear headings and page structure that work with screen readers
- Full keyboard navigation, visible focus outlines, and a “Skip to content” link
- Text and buttons with strong color contrast against their backgrounds
- Descriptive labels and error messages on every form field
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and zoomed-in screens
- Reduced animation for visitors whose device asks for less motion
Known limitations
Some decorative images are hidden from screen readers on purpose. Links to outside websites, such as Michigan state program pages, are not under our control and may not meet the same standards.
